Product Guide: Superfeet Insoles

Superfeet is one of the most-prominent brands of over-the-counter insoles around, and for good reason, too: Superfeet has one of the best insole line-ups that we here at TheInsoleStore.com have ever carried, with a good diversity of products for nearly every insole and foot pain need.

But one problem with diverse offerings is that it can sometimes be confusing what product is right for you, or to see what the differences between some of these many products are.

With this in mind, we present to you our Superfeet Insoles Buying Guide: What's the difference between all of these Superfeet insoles?

The Different Superfeet Product Collections

Superfeet groups their insoles into several different product lines, or “collections,” and the products within each collection have similar features that differentiate them from the insoles in other collections.

  • The Heritage Collection: The insoles in the Heritage collection all feature Superfeet's original arch and heel support design: a rigid orthotic arch support and a deep heel cup combine to stabilize both the ankle and the arch of the foot to provide proper foot support and foot stability.
  • The Everyday Collection: The insoles in the Everyday collection have a greater focus on everyday use and wear, and generally feature a softer top-cover and more overall cushioning than those of the Heritage collection.
  • The Flex Collection: The insoles in the Flex collection feature a semi-rigid arch support that offers a greater degree of flexibility than the rigid support of the Heritage collection, while still providing proper arch and heel support for stability and support.
  • The EasyFit Collection: The insoles in the EasyFit collection are aimed towards providing proper arch and heel support in dress footwear and shoes without removable insoles. As such, the 3/4-length design of the EasyFit collection fits in almost all footwear, including on top of an existing sock liner or flat replacement insole.

The Differences Between Superfeet Insoles: Common Questions

Some insoles, even those within the same brand, can appear to be suitable for the same needs. In this section, we answer some common questions about how the Superfeet insoles differ, and which is better for which needs.

What Superfeet insole is best for pain relief? The Superfeet Heritage insoles or the Superfeet Everyday Pain Relief insole?

There's often confusion between whether an insole from the Heritage collection, such as the Green, Blue, or Black insoles, or the Everyday Pain Relief insole is better for pain relief. They're both a great choice, but here's the breakdown:

For severe foot pain-
We recommend an insole from the Heritage line of insoles. The Green insole is recommended for roomier footwear and the Black insole for slim or tight-fitting footwear. For a little extra cushioning, consider the Copper insole, which fits in most footwear. The tried-and-true design of the Heritage insoles is your best bet for finding quick relief from extreme foot pain.

For mild-to-moderate foot pain-
We recommend the Everyday Pain Relief insole. You'll get a rigid orthotic arch support that will alleviate pain by giving your foot proper support while having more cushioning and comfort for everyday wear.

What Superfeet insole is best for athletics? The Superfeet Flex insoles, the Superfeet Copper insoles, or the Superfeet Orange/Berry insoles?

As far as athletic insoles go for Superfeet, the Flex with its semi-rigid footbed and good overall cushioning, the Copper with its added layer of cushioning through the insole, and the Orange/Berry insoles with their full-forefoot strike padding are all good choices. In the end, however, the insole that's right for you depends on two things: 1) What athletics you perform, and 2) If you need semi-rigid or rigid support.

If you have moderate to severe arch pain and perform athletics where you strike the ground hard constantly (running, basketball, or tennis for example)...
We recommend the Orange or Berry insoles. The forefoot padding will provide the best shock absorption as you pound pavement, while the rigid arch support will give you the best support for your feet.

If you have moderate to severe arch pain and do not perform athletic where you strike the ground hard constantly (walking or weightlifting for example)...
We recommend the Copper insoles. The added layer of cushioning throughout the insole will provide extra shock absorption and pressure relief throughout the foot, while still giving you the best arch support for your feet.

In all other cases-
We recommend the Flex insoles. The Flex insoles will provide you with a semi-rigid support that will provide great foot support and stability without being too intrusive, and the overall cushioning of the insoles will provide a good combination of pressure relief and shock absorption. Choose the FlexMax for roomier shoes, the Flex for shoes with some room, and FlexThin for tight-fitting shoes.

What Superfeet insole is best for everyday wear? The Superfeet Heritage insoles or the Superfeet Everyday Comfort?

All Superfeet insoles will work for everyday wear, but the one that's best for you depends entirely on whether or not you have foot pain currently, and how severe that foot pain is.

For severe foot pain-
We recommend the Heritage insoles. These insoles will provide you the best possible support for quick relief and prevention of severe foot conditions. We recommend the Green insoles for maximum support in roomier footwear, the Copper insoles for the best combination of support and pressure relief, and the Blue insoles for maximum support in less-roomy shoes.

For mild to moderate foot pain...
We recommend the Everyday Comfort insoles. This insole has the best combination of support, cushioning, and pressure relief for most non-severe foot pain and everyday comfort.
