Morton's Neuroma

About Morton's Neuroma

What is Morton's Neuroma

Morton's Neuroma is a foot condition where the tissues in the foot surrounding one of the nerves thickens, causing varying levels of discomfort. While many people feel as though they are walking with a pebble under their foot, others experience numbness, tingling, or a burning sensation.

What causes Morton's Neuroma

Morton's Neuroma is often the result of repeated or sustained compression and irritation of the nerves in the foot, such as from frequently wearing tight shoes, high heels, or having a different foot condition such as bunions.

How do you treat Morton's Neuroma

In most cases, simply alleviating pressure from the affected nerves is sufficient to provide relief from Morton's Neuroma. Wearing shoes with a roomy toe area to avoid compressing the forefoot and using insoles with a cushioned forefoot can certainly help.

What defines an insole suitable for Morton's Neuroma?

Our Morton's Neuroma products all have plenty of cushioning under the ball-of-foot, which will provide plenty of pressure relief and cushioning to help alleviate any strain on the forefoot nerves. Where possible, we'll also include products with a metatarsal pad and/or elevated forefoot, which will also help alleviate strain on the forefoot.
