Overview The PowerStep Pinnacle Wool Insoles are the insole of choice for outdoor enthusiasts. The Pinnacle Wool is designed for use for outdoors sports and recreation in hiking boots, snow boots, ski/snowboard boots, as well as other outdoor footwear. Featuring a combination of semi-rigid arch support, maximum cushioning, shock absorption, and wool insulation, these insoles will keep your feet supported and comfortable while reducing fatigue and foot pain, even during the most rigorous outdoor activities. Description Starting at the top of the insole, you'll first notice a complete layer of insulating wool fabric across the top, which will help keep your feel cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Below this is a layer of foam cushioning that runs from heel to toe, which will help alleviate pressure on the feet and provide all-over foot cushioning. An integrated support shell will provide a deep heel cup and semi-rigid arch support, while a thin layer of foam across the base of the insole provides a little extra comfort and cushion. Notes

About Wool Insoles
Wool insoles are insulating, not necessarily warming.
This means that wool will help keep your feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Many people think that wool is only useful in the winter to help keep warm, and most will avoid using wool in the summer because they think that it will just make things hotter. However, this is a misconception. While wool insoles will help keep your feet warm in the winter, it will also help keep your feet cool in the summer!
Wool is a natural insulator, meaning that it helps preserve the "inside" temperature and block the "outside" temperature. In the winter, wool insoles will help to prevent your natural body heat from escaping while also blocking cold outside air from penetrating into your shoes. In the summer, it's the opposite: wool insoles will help keep cool air from escaping while preventing warm air from as easily getting into your shoes.

What Are Insoles Made Of? An Introduction to Cushioning, Support, and Top Cover Materials
When shopping for insoles, it's easy to get lost in a sea of product descriptions that throw around terms like "EVA foam," "carbon fiber," and "merino wool top cover" without much explanation. But the materials inside your insole — and on its surface — make all the difference in how it performs, how long it lasts, and whether it's the right match for your feet. This guide breaks down the anatomy of a standard insole layer by layer, so you can shop smarter and step more comfortably.
