If you wear wide-width shoes, you need a wide-width insole to properly support your foot and to prevent the insole from shifting inside your shoes. Our selection of wide insoles is designed specifically to work in wide-width shoes to provide the best comfort and support all day long.
What are wide insoles?
Wide insoles are designed to fit properly inside of wide-width shoes. These insoles are designed with a wider-than-average width profile not only to accommodate wider feet, but also to ensure that there are no gaps on either side of the insole when placed inside of wide-width shoes.
When should I purchase a wide width insole?
You should purchase an insole that matches the size and width of the shoe that the insole will be used in. If your shoes are a wide width, you should purchase a wide insole to ensure a proper fit of the insole inside your shoe. Placing a regular-width insole inside a wide shoe could leave gaps on either side of the insole that may lead to discomfort or shifting of the insole inside the shoe when you wear them.
What if only the toe-box of my shoe is wide?
Wide insoles are designed for a shoe that is sized wide throughout, so we recommend not purchasing a wide width insole if only the toe-box of your shoes are wide. Doing so may result in the insole not fitting properly in your shoes, as the heel and midfoot of a wide insole may be too wide for your shoes. Instead, most regular-width insoles have a slightly wider toe-box that can be trimmed if needed or used to accommodate shoes with a wider toe-box.
If you send us a width measurement of the inside dimensions of the toe-box of your shoes, we can help determine a proper insole to fit your shoes.
