Our Recommendations for PowerStep Insoles
Best All-Around: PowerStep Pinnacle
The Pinnacle has been the flagship insole for PowerStep for many years now, a testament in and of itself to the success of the insole's design and how well-trusted it is with customers across the board. With a moderate level of cushioning, moderately-firm arch support, and a deep heel cup, the Pinnacle checks all the boxes for what makes a great all-around support insole.
This insole is great for nearly every purpose, and it's medium thickness make it a good fit for all but the tightest-fitting shoes. Plus, it's now available in a low-arch and high-arch version!
P. S. Not sure what your arch height is? There's an easy at-home way to see! Check out our guide for more info.
Best for Cushioning: PowerStep ComfortLast
The ComfortLast is been in the PowerStep insoles lineup for years now, and it quickly became one of the most popular cushioned arch support insoles out there. One big problem with many arch support insoles featuring a fully-flexible cushioned support is that often the arch support doesn't really provide much support to speak of. Not so with the ComfortLast.
With a body made of performance foam and gel, you can expect excellent pressure relief, shock absorption, and all-over cushioned comfort. And for a gel-body cushioned arch support, you get genuine arch support instead of just some extra cushioning under the arch of the foot.
Best for Light Support: PowerStep Bridge
It's not uncommon to want an insole to provide some support, but not too much. That's where the Bridge insoles come into play. Relatively new to the PowerStep lineup, the Bridge insoles feature a lightweight cushioned foam footbed atop a lightweight and rather flexible arch support frame. The end result is an insole that provides good cushioning with arch support that moves with you, all in a lightweight design.
Best for Heavy-Duty Wear: PowerStep Pinnacle Maxx
Based on the Pinnacle design, the Pinnacle Maxx feature a more rigid support system, deeper heel cup, and overall "beefier" design. You'll get great arch support, great heel support for better stability, and still have plenty of cushioning for comfort and shock absorption. Perfect for those who want enhanced heavy-duty support, the Maxx are a great fit in boots, sneakers, and any other "roomier" footwear.
Best for Tight Shoes: PowerStep Pinnacle 3/4
Sometimes your shoes just don't have room for a new insole (maybe because you can't remove your existing insoles, or because the shoes are tight-fitting or minimalist, or for any other reason). In this case, the Pinnacle 3/4 insoles are a great option for you! Their thinner profile and 3/4-length design means that they fit in almost all footwear types.
Expect a similar feel to the Pinnacle Full-length Insoles, just in an overall slightly thinner and 3/4-length design.
Best for Metatarsal Support: PowerStep Pinnacle Plus
Sometimes just having good arch support alone isn't enough, and having good metatarsal support is key in those cases. That's where the Pinnacle Plus Met insoles shine. Designed with a built-in, neutral metatarsal pad, these insoles provide the same level of arch support as the regular Pinnacle insoles but with the additional forefoot support that a metatarsal pad provides. And since the metatarsal pad is built right into the insole, there's no worrying about met pad placement, movement during walking, or anything else that you might worry about adding a separate met pad to a standard arch support insole.
