Overview

The Spenco Full-Length Orthotic Arch Supports are designed to provide extra-firm arch support in an otherwise low-profile design. These arch supports do not feature the traditional deep heel cup that you'll find in most arch support insoles, instead using a low-profile, shallow heel cradle. While this means that the insoles won't be as effective at providing exceptional heel cushioning or ankle stability, it does mean that the insoles will fit better into tighter-fitting shoes where a traditional heel cup + arch support insole might not fit. For adding arch support to tighter-fitting, low-profile shoes, these insoles are an excellent choice.

Description

The top of the insoles are covered in fabric, which will help reduce foot friction, control odors, and wick away moisture & perspiration. Below, a layer of 3mm thick SpenCore foam cushioning provides heel-to-toe cushioning, pressure relief, and some impact shock absorption. A rigid plastic arch support runs from the midfoot all the way through the heel, creating a shallow heel cradle and a rigid arch support that works best for low and medium-arched feet.

Notes

  • The arch support of these insoles can be heat molded by submerging the insoles in hot water until the plastic arch support becomes pliable enough to bend. See details under Use & Care.

Usage:

These insoles are designed to replace your existing shoe insoles and should be trimmed to ensure the best fit in your shoes. Read more about trim-to-fit insoles in our Trim to Fit Instructions.

Heat molding instructions:

  1. Place the insoles into a waterproof bag.
  2. Fill a pot or pan with enough water in which to fully submerge the insoles.
  3. Bring the water to a boil, then remove from heat entirely.
  4. Submerge the bag of insoles in the water for approximately 2 minutes.
  5. Carefully remove the bag from the water and remove the insoles from the bag.
  6. To lower the arch height: Using only the pressure from your fingers, gently press down on the top of the arch while the insoles sit on a flat surface.
  7. To raise the arch height: Holding the insoles carefully in your hands, use both thumbs to push up on the bottom of the arch support.

Care:

Your insoles should be allowed to air dry within your shoes when not being worn. To clean your insoles, use a mild detergent and damp cloth to spot-clean any dirt. Do not submerge your insoles in water. Air dry outside of your shoes after cleaning.
