Description

The tops of the insoles are lined in genuine leather, which will reduce foot friction to prevent blisters in addition to providing a soft surface that feels nice against the bottom of the foot. Below, a contoured cork base provides a sculpted heel cradle, rigid arch support, and low-impact metatarsal support. The cork is naturally shock-absorbent, helping to provide heel and midfoot cushioning despite the firm shape of the material, and side flanges help keep the foot naturally centered and stable. The bottoms of the insoles are lined in moleskin to improve durability while also helping to prevent the insoles from sliding and shifting during wear.

Sizing

A few notes on Birkenstock's "width" classifications, which can be confusing:

• Birkenstock's "Narrow" width fits women's medium-width shoes. When you order a women's-sized Birko Balance insole, the box will say "Narrow."
• Birkenstock's "Regular" width fits men's medium-width shoes. When you order a men's-sized Birko Balance insole, the box will say "Regular."
• If you wear a women's wide shoe, you can order the equivalent size men's insole for what is effectively a women's wide.
• If you wear a men's narrow shoe, you can order the equivalent size women's insole for what is effectively a men's narrow.
